The Mission of Drexel First Baptist Church is centered around five core purposes:
"Worship," "Service," "Evangelism," "Fellowship," and "Discipleship."
We find these purposes in two of our most important New Testament passages.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." MATTHEW 22:37-39
  1. Worship - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
At DFBC, we desire to worship God with every resource we have been given.

  2. Service - "Love your neighbor as yourself." We want to dedicate ourselves to effective ministry in order to share God’s love with each other and the world.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." MATTHEW 28:19-20

  3. Evangelism - "Go and make disciples of all nations." We are called to bring others to Christ both here in Burke County and everywhere else God might lead us.

  4. Fellowship - "Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." We recognize baptism as the beginning of real fellowship with one another in Christ, and we commit ourselves to growing in relationship with one another so that God might use us effectively in each other’s lives.

  5. Discipleship - "Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." We believe that God has called us to maturity as believers, and so we emphasize personal spiritual growth through involvement in Sunday School and other small groups.
